what is death note? Death Note is a thriller manga that published in 2003, with the anime released in 2006. It follows light yagami, a terribly bored but extremely brilliant teenage boy, as he stumbles upon the death note, a supernatural notebook dropped by the shinigami (or death god), ryuk. The death note has the power to kill any person whose name is written in it's pages, as long as the owner has the person's face in mind.

why do you like it so much? i could go on and on all day! it gives me nostalgia, i love the atmosphere, i think the concept is extremely interesting... but the main reason i like it so much is because of the characters! misa is my favorite, but i don't think i hate a single character in death note. well, besides light.. i especially love all the female characters, even though most of them aren't well written imo.
